F1 Fans Can Own a Piece of Max Verstappen’s 2021 Championship Car

F1 Fans Can Own a Piece of Max Verstappen’s 2021 Championship Car

F1 Authentics has launched a new Mystery Box featuring genuine memorabilia from Max Verstappen’s first Formula 1 World Championship-winning Red Bull RB16B.

Formula 1 collectors are being given the chance to own a physical piece of one of the most significant cars in modern F1 history.

F1 Authentics, operated by Memento Exclusives under licence from Formula 1, has launched a new limited-edition Mystery Box containing authentic F1 memorabilia. Every box is guaranteed to include a piece from Max Verstappen’s 2021 championship-winning Red Bull RB16B.

The RB16B carried Verstappen through the season in which he secured his first Formula 1 Drivers’ World Championship, ending the campaign with a dramatic title victory in Abu Dhabi. Formula 1 describes the RB16B as the car that broke Mercedes’ run of drivers’ championships during the hybrid era.

Authentic F1 Memorabilia in Every Box

The current F1 Authentics listing says the release is limited to 500 Mystery Boxes, each containing at least £1,300 worth of authentic Formula 1 memorabilia.

Contents can include:

  • race-used Formula 1 components;
  • signed team merchandise;
  • exclusive collectibles;
  • memorabilia from teams and drivers across the grid; and
  • a guaranteed piece from Verstappen’s 2021 championship car.

One box will also contain a redeemable Official Formula 1 Replica Front Wing and Nose, valued by F1 Authentics at £14,999.

The box is currently listed at £1,000 on the F1 Authentics website.

A Piece of Verstappen’s First World Championship

The centrepiece is the connection to Verstappen’s breakthrough 2021 season.

Driving the Red Bull RB16B, Verstappen won 10 Grands Prix and eventually secured his first world title following an intense season-long battle with Lewis Hamilton. He also became the first Dutch Formula 1 world champion.

That makes original RB16B material particularly relevant to collectors interested not only in Formula 1 memorabilia, but in objects connected directly to defining sporting moments.

Formula 1 Memorabilia Becomes a Bigger Fan Business

The Mystery Box also highlights the growing commercial market around authenticated sports memorabilia and fan ownership.

F1 Authentics has increasingly turned race-used car parts, signed equipment and replica components into premium collectibles, giving supporters an opportunity to own physical artefacts connected to Formula 1 teams and drivers.

Memento Exclusives has previously launched limited F1 Mystery Boxes containing premium memorabilia and high-value prizes, including an earlier 2026 edition offering a chance to receive an official Formula 1 motion simulator.

For Formula 1, these products extend fan engagement beyond watching races or buying traditional merchandise.

They transform pieces of sporting history into collectible assets.

For Verstappen supporters in particular, owning material from the RB16B offers something difficult for ordinary merchandise to replicate: a tangible connection to the car that delivered his first world championship.
