Infosys Extends Roland-Garros AI Partnership Until 2031

Infosys and the French Tennis Federation have extended their AI and digital innovation partnership through 2031 while unveiling a new generation of AI-powered fan experiences that will debut during Roland-Garros 2026.
This announcement builds on our existing collaboration, which includes digital products like Match Centre, AI-Assisted Journalism, and the Infosys 3D Art Museum, and adds new capabilities for fans, players, coaches, media organisations, and tournament operations.
AI turns tennis data into fan experiences.
The centrepiece of this year's rollout is Rolly, an AI-powered StatsBot available on the Roland-Garros website and mobile app. Rather than simply retrieving statistics or tournament rules, Rolly combines live match information with historical data dating back to 2013 to answer natural-language questions about scores, player performance, match dynamics, and historical comparisons. The objective is to help fans understand the context behind every match while following play in near real time.
Another addition is Momentum, a live visualisation tool that illustrates how matches evolve throughout each set. Instead of focusing only on the scoreboard, it highlights momentum swings, important scoring sequences, and turning points as they happen, making it easier for audiences to interpret the rhythm of a match.
A new AI assistant joins the tournament.
Visitors attending Roland-Garros will also encounter Rally, an AI-powered humanoid robot located in the Infosys Fan Zone. Equipped with advanced computer vision and audio capabilities, Rally offers personalised interactions that range from taking photographs in Selfie Mode to generating tennis-themed predictions through "Serve Me a Fortune." Fans can also use the "Ask Rally" feature to receive live match insights tailored to individual players' styles using real-time tournament data. Infosys says the robot operates under Responsible AI principles to ensure secure and tennis-focused interactions.
Smarter tools for fans and media
Several existing AI platforms have also received substantial updates for the 2026 tournament. AI Commentary is now available in French in addition to existing language support, improving accessibility for local audiences while reducing latency in live narration. The Excitement Rating has been simplified into an easier-to-read "Exciting" indicator, allowing users to identify the tournament's most competitive matches quickly.
The AI-Assisted Journalism Portal has also been expanded with greater customisation options, enhanced image-editing tools, and plug-and-play infographic templates. These additions are intended to help media teams and tournament stakeholders produce editorial content more efficiently while maintaining editorial control.

Supporting a global sporting event
The technology rollout comes as Roland-Garros continues to expand its international reach. The tournament welcomed a record 687,249 spectators in 2025 and was broadcast across 220 territories, making digital engagement an increasingly important part of the overall event experience.
French Tennis Federation President Gilles Moretton said the partnership continues to combine Roland-Garros' heritage with advanced AI technologies to create richer and more inclusive experiences for audiences on-site and around the world. Infosys Global Chief Marketing Officer Sumit Virmani said the focus is on using AI to help fans understand the momentum, context, and emotion of live tennis rather than simply presenting match statistics.
Technology with a broader purpose
Beyond the tournament itself, Infosys is continuing its collaboration with Association Fête le Mur (FLM), the French Tennis Federation's charity partner supporting young people from underprivileged communities in Paris. Together, they are developing tennis-related learning modules on the Infosys Springboard digital learning platform. During Roland-Garros 2026, 60 young people aged 11 to 17 will also visit the tournament and participate in AI and technology workshops led by Infosys specialists.
The partnership extension through 2031 reflects a longer-term strategy in which AI becomes increasingly integrated into elite sporting events. As tournaments seek to enhance experiences across live venues, broadcast platforms, and digital channels, technologies that personalise engagement, explain the game, and support content creation are becoming an integral part of how global audiences experience sport.
