SportyBet Named Official Betting Partner of LALIGA Across Africa
LALIGA, Spain’s premier football league, has entered into a multi-year partnership with SportyBet, establishing the online sports betting platform as its Official Betting Partner across the African continent. This strategic alliance aims to enhance fan engagement and broaden LALIGA's reach within the region.

LALIGA, Spain’s premier football league, has entered into a multi-year partnership with SportyBet, establishing the online sports betting platform as its Official Betting Partner across the African continent. This strategic alliance aims to enhance fan engagement and broaden LALIGA's reach within the region.

Enhancing fan engagement through strategic collaboration

The partnership is set to commence with a high-profile launch event in Africa, featuring one of LALIGA’s esteemed ambassadors. Notable figures associated with LALIGA include football legends such as Diego Maradona, Cristiano Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, Gerard Piqué, Carles Puyol, and Iker Casillas, or current football stars like Ferran Torres, Pablo Gavi, Jude Bellingham, Kylian Mbappé or experienced Luka Modrić. These ambassadors are expected to play a pivotal role in promoting the collaboration and engaging with fans across the continent.

As part of the agreement, SportyBet will gain significant visibility during LALIGA match broadcasts. The SportyBet brand will be prominently displayed on advertising billboards and cam carpets within stadiums, particularly during matches where Real Madrid, FC Barcelona, and Atlético Madrid are the visiting teams. This exposure is designed to strengthen SportyBet’s brand presence within the global football community.

In addition to increased brand visibility, SportyBet will offer fans exclusive access to LALIGA content through its platform and social media channels.
This includes match highlights, interviews, and behind-the-scenes footage, providing a more immersive experience for African audiences.

The partnership also introduces unique opportunities for fans to engage directly with the sport. SportyBet users may have the chance to participate in VIP stadium tours, observe player warm-ups from the sidelines, take photographs with football idols, or even step onto the pitch to take a penalty after a match. These experiences aim to bring fans closer to the game they love.

Statements from key stakeholders

Elías Gallego, Vice President of Media, Marketing, and Business Development at SportyBet, commented on the partnership:

“This partnership represents a powerful alignment between SportyBet’s leadership in the African market and LALIGA’s immense potential to grow its footprint across the continent. By leveraging our deep understanding of the African audience, we’re confident that together we can elevate the fan experience, fuel the passion for football, and drive unprecedented growth for LALIGA and SportyBet in this vibrant region.”

Jorge de la Vega, Executive General Manager of LALIGA, added:

“Partnering with SportyBet is an exciting milestone for LALIGA as we continue to expand our global footprint, particularly in Africa. This collaboration not only brings LALIGA closer to millions of passionate football fans across the continent but also underscores our commitment to delivering world-class football experiences to diverse audiences. Together with SportyBet, we aim to create new opportunities for engagement, inspire the next generation of football enthusiasts, and celebrate the shared love of the beautiful game.”
